Frontier Killer

Masked Ranger, October 1954, NY: Premier Magazines, Inc., published by Lew A. Stricoff. This western story is anonymous but appears to have had the help of some “Fleagles,” Al Williamson, or Angelo Torres. It may be an early work by George Woodbridge. Even in their western comics these great cartoonists showed their Foster/Raymond influences.

  1. I think you're right that it's Woodbridge. When I discovered his early comics work this past year I recall being surprised how much it reminded me of a looser early Frazetta style and this does, too. I see what you mean about possible Fleagle involvement, though, too. I see what looks like some Williamson inks.
